(per united press association.) Wellington, This Day. The charge of obtaining goods under false pretences which arose against J. J. Ingram out of his examination in bankruptcy, was dismissed in the R.M. Court. There are eight charges against seven prisoners at the criminal sessions of the Supreme court. The most serious are murder and arson. Hoeitiejl, Jane 23. Kelly's terrace tributors got 320z (eight men) for six days, of the yalue of i>l2o, or £15 per man. The shafts on Kelly Terrace and the Wheel of Fortune on the boundary, are sinking on good gold. Auckland, Jane 24. The action brought by the Official Assignee against ths South British Insurance Company was opened at the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr Justice Uillies and a special jury. This was a case in which recovery was saught of the sum of £562 3s 1 Id, the amount of tw" policies of insurance issued to Herbert Maxwell Bradbury, in respect of stock and furniture destroyed by fire.
