Floods in Victoria
By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. (per united pkess association.) Melbourne, Jtrne 14 Heavy rains have fallen, causing floods iv all parts of the colony, doing great damage. The residents oj; the Avoca district had to leave a large quantity of stock to be drowned. At Ohiltern, the Murray overflowed, also at Wodouga, submerging a large tract of country. The inhabitants of Oowenavale was rescuei iv boats. A buggy was washed away at Elmore, and Misses Powell and Zalpin drowned. Guilford Nftwetead, and Barringbup, in the Castlemaine district, are under water. These are the heaviest floods since 1870.
