The cattle entered to-day were all steers, from 2£ to 3. years eld, "and the: quahty was iron*- medium- to good. Although the usual- number- were penned* they were not sufficient for trade requirements, and prices advanced Is the lOOlbs. on last week's Quotations. Only a small portion of the sheep advertised came forward. Pige were in pcod demand, baconers and porkers being especially so. We quote —
Cattle: Bullocks, from £4 12/6 to £5> 2/6, averaging,. £4 18/9 beef,, made H/---the lOOlbs.
Sheep-: Wethers* 11/9; inferior ewes,. 6/2 : wether mutton made 2d per lb. Pigs* Baconers, £1 9/- te £2 2/-z large porkers, 22/- to 24/- ; others, _3/« fco 17/6 p stores, 11/- ; rough sorts, .6/-^
