Kiwitea Road Board

The first ordinary meeting of the newly ©lected Board was held on Saturday afternoon last, all the. members elected being present, viz., Messrs Mills (Makino), Lucas (Pohangina), Williamson (Waituna), Haythorne (Kimbolton), Shannon (Ongo), Beid (Ruahinaj, and Homer (Apiti). The first business being the election of a chairman, Mr Williamson thought they could not do better than again place Mr Taylor in that position, who had filled it co ably for the past four or five years. The proposition was seconded by Mr Haythorne, and carried. Mr Taylor, on assuming the chair, acknowledged his re-election in a few suitable remarks.

The minutes of the last ordinary meeting were read and confirmed.
