Russell, This Day. The Mawhera arrived from Fiji. Captain Oliver reports the total loss of the four-masted ship Altmore on Viwi, one of the Western Islands of Fiji. The chief officer was drowned. A boat with a party of the crew and passengers has not yet arrived at Levuka, and fears are entertained for their safety.

Cobbe & Dakragh recently received in one lot 26 cases, containing nearly 1750 lbs. of Nelson, Moate & Co.'s Blended Teas, for which they are the wholesale" and retail Peilding agents. These Teas they sell in half pound and one pound packets ; also in five and ten pound tins, at the old prices, viz. : 2/-, 2/4, and 2/8 (all tins given in). They also hold large stocks of Indian and China Teas, which they can supply in any quantity at from 1/6 per ft.

It will be seen by advertisement in another column that Mr J. J. Curtis, i.f Grey street, Wellington, draws the attention of the tradespeople and others to the advantage they will receive by having consigned to his rare. Consignees at present suffer from delay m transit at Wellington, and the consequent expense of storage, which would be entirely avoided. Those wishing to send parcels or presents to Europe are reminded that he has a. cheap prompt delivery by each of the direct steamers for London.
