Manchester Road Board

There was considerable interest taken yesterday in the elections for Nos. 5 and 6 sub-divisions of the Manchester Road District, and the ratepayers mustered in considerable force at the several polling places. Mr Pearce defeated Mr C. Bull for No. 5 ward by 62 to 36, while Mr Reeve was successful over his opponent, Mr Cobb, for No. 6 ward, by 67 to 44.
