Awahuri School Committee
A meeting of householders was held at Awahuri ou Tuosdny evening. MiMends presided. The Chairman made a verbal report of the transactions of the Committee during the past year, which presented no unusual fealures. The only comment made .vas on the miserable attendance of the scholars, which was very discreditable as far as the efforts of parents were concerned. The election of a new Committee was then proceeded with, and the following householders were nominated, viz. . Messrs Bennett, Campbell, Mends, J: Nairn, Weightumn, Whitt'e and Worsfold. The meeting then closed with a usual complement to the chair: Afterwards a meeting of the Committee was held, and Mr Weightman was elected Chairman ; he was also appointed to act as Secretary and Treasurer for the current year.
