Feilding Race Meeting

It is hardly necessary to remind our readers that the annual race meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club takes place on Monday next (Easter Monday) on the Club's Racecourse. Given fine weather, the meeting should prove the most successful the Club have yet held. All arrangements are completed, and the Committee have attended to all the details necessary to ensure the success of the meeting and the pleasure of those present. The Club are to be congratulated on the large number of acceptances, and asa result some grand sport and exciting finishes should be witnessed at the meeting. The Feilding Brass Band will be on the ground during the day. The first race starts at 11.30. (Notes by "Prudence.") The acceptances for the Feilding Jockey Club's Eaces must, I think, be more than satisfactory to everyone concerned, Mr J. Henry, the handicapper, deserving all the credit that is being showered upon him, and I trnst that his handicaps on future occasions will be made on the same principle — that is to sink the probable winner from from the public gaze — and he is sure to be a success. My selections are : — Handicap Hurdles. Kincraig. i Hack Hurdles. Sir Garnet. F.J.C. Handicap. Foxton Aliua Eewa Eewa Hack Flat. Minnie Flying Handicap. Camomile But I would not be at all surprised to see a dark 'un pop up in nearly every event. (Straight Tips for Feilding Eaces by " Carbine.") Hurdles. Druid or Jubilee. Hack Hurdles. Sir Garnet or Puritikei. F.J.C. Handicap. Foxton or Ahua. Hack Flat. Bob Koy or Crofton. Flying. Bichmond or Prudence.
