The German -warship Olga, whioh wa» run ashore, duriug the recent gale in Apia harbor, was successfully floated off and came on here, arriving tins morning* The steamer Lubock also arrived from Samoa this morning with a large number of shipwrecked Bailors belonging to th« German warships Eber and Adler. News from Apia -says that it is understood that the German troops are to bewithdrawn from .Samoa with the exception of about sixty men, who remain to protect Germau property and interests. ■) The Tnsco ; mail steamer Alameda called at Apia on her trip to San Franoisco and took on forty of the American sailors were either suffering from injuries sustained- during .the wreck or island fevers. A large number of bodies have been washed ashore and buried. The total number of lives lost is given at 143. Great damage has been caused throughout the group, and it is estimated that it will take fully two years to recoyor from the effect of the hurricane. The natives especially severely feel the loss of food.
