Good News for Farmers

By a telegram from Sydney we learn that the motion of Mr J. Abbott, in the N.S.W. Parliament, in favor of removing the duties on butter, bacon, cheese and kerosene, was carried by 55 to 51. This is good news indeed for the dairy farmers in this colony, who, although they have lately had a season of unexampled prosperity, are likely to have a continuance of their good fortune This news means thousands of pounds in the aggregate to our local men.
