The Manchester Rifles will parade for drill and inspection on Friday next at 7.30 p.m. A meeting of the Finance Committee will be held the same evening. The following circular has been issued to Officers Commanding districts :— " The Eon. Defence Minister has decided, with a view to encourage proficiency in ambulance drill, to allow four men per corps to reckon six parades towards capitation, provided they go through a course of ambulance instruction, and have received a certificate of qualification. The men to whom this concession will be granted must be efficient volunteers of not less than one year's service."
