The Recent Accident at Otaki

We regret to learn that one of the men injured in the rocket accident at Otaki on Monday night succumbed to his injuries at the Hospital last night. The deceased, whose name is William Maxwell Muir, sustained a -severe wound in the abdomen which severed an artery, and it was feared from the first that he would not survive the effects of the accident. The circumstances will be reported to the District Coroner, and it is very probable that an inquest will be held. Of the other three men injured, Bobertson has improved slightly but the other two — Grant and the Native Te. Waitu, whose injuries are so serious that little hope is entertained of their recovery — are still in a very critical condition. — Times.
