(per united prbss association,) Dunedin, January 18. Mr W. J. Larnach having resigned from the directorate of the Colonial Bank. Mr Bitchie has been appointed to the vacancy. Auckland, January 18. A man named Archibald McAllister, foreman of the- contract for the construe* von of the Hellensville-Kaukapakapa railway line, was killed to-day. He was in charge of an engine which was running to the gravel pit with a number of truoks, when he jumped off the engine, and fell backward, the trucks parsing over him and causing his death. . ....
