Advertisements THOROUGH ELECTION. TO THE BURGESSES of FEILDING. Ladies & Gentlemen, — Having been requested by a large body of the independent electors of Feiiding to become a Candidate to fill the vacancy caused by the election of Dr Monckton to the position of Mayor, I have consented, because I believe I cau be of good service to my fellow burgesses. It will be my duty, if P am returned, to continue the policy of retrenchment recently inaugurated in the Council. The electors cannot be too careful in watching the Public Works expenditure, and I am opposed to burdening the ratepayers with new loans uui ess absolutely necessary, and proved to be, without doubt, for the good of the ratepayers and the Borough at large. Should you consider me worthy of your support, I pledge myself to guard your interests and use every endeavour to deserve and retain your confidence. I am, &c, Your Obedient Servant, JOHN GOULD. Tl/f ANCHESTER RIFLES. DISTRICT ORDERS. The above Corps will parade as follows during the month of January. 1887; — Monday, January 7th; Friday, January 18th ; Friday, January 25th. On Monday, January 7, the Corps will parade at 7 p.m. in Reveiw Order for Annual Inspection. Any officer absent from this parade will be fined £5, and any volunteer £1.
