STEVENS & GORTON STOCK REPORT.
Bulls, December 12. Our sale- at Bulls yesterday was well attended and, we had large entries, particularly of cattle, of which there was a good class; Though we sold nearly eyery head ih tbe yard the prices were anything but favourable to the vendors, cattle being still very low. For sheep, however, there was spirited bidding, excepting in the case of cull ewes, for which the demand was not so great es at previous gales. We quote : — Cattle^- Four and 5-year bullocks, L 4 5/- ; good 3 year bullocks, L 4 ; 2_to 3 year steers, L 2 17/6; two-year steers, L 2 3/- to L 2 11/6;. cows, 25/---to 32/6 ; 18-months steers. 24/. Sheep — Two-tooth wethers,. 7/6 ; store ewes, 7/- to 7/4 ; fat shorn sheep 6/10. __, .
