A committee was appointed to draw up the programme as soon as possible. A butcher's smoke-house, next Nathan's Beady Money store, caught fiie shortly after midnight last night, and a large fire at one time seemed imminent. The neighbors kept it under -with buckets till the arrival of the Fire Brigade, and when the manual engine got to work, in remarkably quick time, the splendid force of water soon get the fire under control, and kept it to the building in which it originated.
