The flag fell to an excellent start, and after fairly settling into their stride, the colors of The Charmer, Plutarch, Crown Brand, Enfilade, Spade Guinea, and Chicago could be seen well ia front. As they swept past the Btand for tbe first time, Spade Guinea had command of tbe field, with Dividend and The Charmer in cloae attendance. Bravo then took command of affairsto the distance post. When well within the distance, Chicago and Tradition made their effort, and th* former won by a length aad a half* Time, 2min. 38£seo.
