Johnsonville, October 17. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and j Co.'s (Johnßonville) weekly stock report : — About the usual number of fat cattle came forward for the day's sale. Beef was of fair quality and made from 14s 6d to 15s the 1001 b. The sheep pens were all full. One special line of grand wethers, fattened by Mr G. S. Robertson, of Waireka and Wanganui, topped the market for shorn cheep, after keen competition. Lambs were larger and better than last week's entry; they sold at improved prices. Pigs were in usual supply and sold well. Bullocks brought from £5 10s to £6 7s 6d; the different lines averaged £6 3s 3d, £6 Is 4d, £5 19b 4d. Veal calves, 11s to 17s. Hheop— Wethers in wool, 15s 9d to 16s 6d ; shorn wethers, 10s Sdto 12s 7d; lambs, 8s 3d to 8s lOd. Pigs— Bacouexs, 35s to 53s ; porkers, 15s to 275 ; small, 8s 9d to 12s.
