Volunteer Items
The Manchester Rifles commenced class firiug on Saturday afternoon when Sergt. W. B. Chamberlain, Vols. Humphries, Clark, Fitzgerald, Stewwart, Bellve and Bennett passed from the third class. Notwithstanding the strong gale some very, fair scores were made. This morning Vols. Green, Fowler, A. Collins, W. Collins and S. Chamberlain went through. The Company will parade for independent and volley firing on Friday afternoon.
The new uniforms for the recruits arrived in Feildin# to-day and will be served out by Sergt. Chamberlain on Thursday next.
