Bulls, September 29: The entries of stock and attendance •was large at our sales at Feilding and Sanson, this week. The bidding for cattle at both sales was spirited, and the late rise in cattle was fully maintained at each sale. At Sanson the bidding was not so spirited for the sheep, owing in a great measure to the vendors expecting a little too much money for their sheep, but wo managed to quit at satisfactory rates every pen excepting two. We quote as follows : — Cattle. — Feilding : Medium fat bullocks, £5 ; 3-year steers, £3 14/- to £3 18/6 ; 2-year steers, £2 10/- to £2 13/6; year and 18-month steers, 37/---to £2 ; fat cows, not prime, £3 2/6 ; springing heifers, £2 to £2 11/-. Sanson: 2^-year steers, £3 ; 18-month to 2^-year steers, £2 10/- ; mixed yearlings, 22/-; weaner heifers, 12/- to 14/-- »peyed heifers, £2 11/- to £4 10/- ; milkers, £3 to £5. Sheep.— Feilding : Forward wethers, 12/- to 12/9. Sanson: Fat woolly wethers, 13/6; hoggets, 8/- to 8/6; woolly hoggets, 9/- to 11/ l; fat shorn ewes, 7/- ; ewes with lambs, 12/3 to 13/-
