The insurances amount to £14,000. Sydney, September 18. His Excellency the Governor, Lord Carrington, was this evening installed by Chief Justice Way, of Adelaide, as the first Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge of New South Wales, in the presence of a large and brilliant assemblage of Mason* from all parts of Australia. The Federited Seamen's Union have voted £500 in aid of the Newcastle strikers. Melbourne, September 18. The Government will appeal to the Privy Council in the case of tbe Chinaman {Jhung Leon»j Loy, who obtained damages for injury suffered through being refused permission to land here some time ago.
