Revolution at Morocco.

The populace attacked and looted the houses of the European residents ; then made their way to the palace of the Sultan, where tbey effected an entrance, and a desperate hand to band encounter, between the bodyguard of the Sultan and the mob, ensued. Sultan Muley fled from the , palace whilst the affray was at its ; height, and order was not restored until the arrival of the Imperial troops, ; j who drove the rebels back to town, j J It is believed that several of tbe Euro- ; ' pean residents were killed 'in the < earlier stage of tbe outbreak. It is ' reported that during the revolution ! outrages rivalling in horror the- Bui- '" garian atrocities were committed by < the inflamed populace. . ■
