REPLY TO " SISTO."

TO THE RU I TOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — Allow me to make a few remarks on the letter, in your last issue, signed " Sisto," as probably I know more of the matter than he does. It is very evident -that " Sisto" has no children- attending the school, or he would not use such insulting language towards other parents; also, be must he of weak intellect himself to think Mr Dowling should be paid a go f pd salary to teach qhildren.to be hewers of .wood and drawers of water. I wonder is that " Sisto V .own occupation? If not, I should imagine he needs a little more schooling himself. And, sir, how does " >isto" account fur the lojrer standards having passed so much better than the' higher ones referred toby the Committee ?— I am, Ac., . .' One of those of Weak Intellect.
