' \ JoHJreoNVm."., September 12/" r [ Our first departure from the usual fortnightly sale to that of a weekly one was ushered in with cold, wretched weather. In consequence of the trade having purchased a good fortnightly supply only a week ago, the bidding was dull, with a limited demand, and the non-requirements of supplies caused a decrease on last sale^s rates,.. Sheep realising 2fd per lh. Pigs were in good demand, and sold readily. Ox beef made from 14s 6d to 15s the lOOlbs. The. prices realised were as under:— . Cattle—Best bullocks ranged from L 5 28 6d to L 7, averaging L 6 9s; the j remaining entry made L 5 2s to L6ss, averaging L 5 9s lOd. . Sheep—Wethers, 14» 6d to 15s; store ewes and wethers, 10s 3d to 10s 4d; lambs 7s 9d to 8s 3d. Pigs—Bacouers, 28s to L 2 11s; porkers, 15s 6d to 225; stores, 9s to 13s ; small pigs, 7s 9d to Bs.
