Beef wis worth, taking it all * round, about 19s per lOOlbs, although oue:=Very prime bullock fetched £12, -equal to 22s 6d per lOOlbs. Store Cattle— Forward steers were in fairly large numbers^ and brought fair prices; springers, from £3 12s €d to £3 15b; store cows from £2 8s ■6d to £2 10s; 24 20-month-old heifers irom £2 2s to £2. 3s 6d ; yearlings, 178. Dairy Cattle— There was about the usual entry and demand good profit .cows fetching fair prices* ordinary and medium very fluctuating figures. The .quality of the entries has been a little mixed. Faf Sheep— There was rather a tetter entry of fat sheep than last weeki but the demand cannot be said -to have become brisker, or the value -of mutton to have been enhanced, button ffduld be worth 3d per lb for best, with ai slight reduction on inferior and ordinary. Stqre Sheep-— Jhere was not a large entry of store isheep, but such as were piuthp brought g«».id figures. Pigs— There wias not a large entry of pigsi and the demand was only ordinary, but prices were about the «arae at'last week.
