remarkable missionary very amusing. At this stage of the meeting Miss E. Watts played and sang a solo very nicely indeed, from Sankey's, called "The Changed Motto." Then the Rev. Mr Harris came forward and gave particulars, relative to our « hurch history: it was built in 1876 at a cost of £389 4s 2d, which has been reduced to the present ■debt of £177, £43 being paid off during the past year. He proposed hearty votes of thanks as follows :— fo Mrs Richardson, for the zealous way she has taken charge of the musical part of the services ; to Captain Wood, for the use ot the hall ; to the Chapel stewards, naming Robert Curran ; to those who displayed both taste and skill in the decorations ; ta the proprietors of the Stak, for insert ing the weekly services gratis ; to the ladies, who so successfully catered for their numerous guests, naming : Mes--dames Cobbe, Fidler, Gould, Harris, Pollock, Pope, Penberthy, Trevena, and Thompson ; who were ably assisted by the Misses Belfits. Cobbe, MeLeod, Pope, and Parr. Prayer by Mr Furlong, and the singing of the doxology, brought a Very pleasant evening to a close.
