FREEMAN E. JACKSON & COS STOCK REPORT.
JOHNBONVTLI»E, August 22. We had a few pens of prime bullocks, the rest being from medium to good. The best line was marred by some pens of light and indifferent cattle, consequently reducing what I otherwise would have been a good ; average. A large number of sheep came forward which sold at an advance on last sale's prices. The spring lambs were well grown, and the' pigs maintained late rates with unsatisfied demand. We quote : — Cattle — The best line made £5 7s i 5d to £7 15s, averaging £6 15s 9d; i the other averages were £6 9s 7d and ] £5 17s, the highest lot averaging £5 ' lis 6d ; fat calves, lis to 19s. ' Sheep- Best wethers, 15s 9d to 1 6s ; ' others, 14s 5d to 15 s; lighter sheep, j 12s tp 12s; lambs, 10s 6d.
