♦ STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK [ EEPORT. We yarded about 150 cattle and 1800 sheep at our sale at Awahuri, all of which sold under the hammer at improved prices on late sales, we quote the following rates : — Cattle — 3 year steers, £3 to £3 ss ; fat cows, £3 to £3 15s ; 2 year steers, £2 to £2 ss; yearling steers, £l to £1 ss ; heifers, 15s to £1 ; mixed weaners, 15s. Sheep—Ewes in lamb, 7s lOd to 8s 6d ; hoggets, woolly, 8s lid, shorn, 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; dry ewes, 8s 6d. The market had an upward tendency for all kinds of stock throughout.
