STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.
Bulls, July 28. We had larger entries both at Marton and Feilding than were advertised, we have repeatedly drawn the attention of the public to this. Good entries always attract a better attendance, fortunately we had good attendance at both these sales, and though the bidding was not perhaps quite so brisk we were able at and after the sale to quit the stock at satisfactory rates. We quote as follows : — Sheep. — Marton: Fat wethers, 13/-; store wethers, 10/- ; lambs, 6/6 ; ewes in lamb, 8/7. Feilding : Fat wethers, 12/6; forward wethers, 11/-; lambs, 6/1 ; ewes in lamb, 8/-. Cattle. — Feilding: Forward cows, £3 3/6; store cows, 30/- to 38/6 ; 2£year steers, £2 14/- ; 2-year heifers, 20/- ; 18-month and 2-year steers, 30/-; calves, 11/- to 14/-.
