At our stock sale at Johnsonville on Wednesday the yards were well filled with sheep of good quality, with the exception of a few pens of forward stores. The demand was brisk throughout the sale. Beef was of medium quality, and made 15s the lOOlbs. Pigs were good all round and sold at previous values. Veal calyes were small and on the whole inferior to those offered recently. Cattle. — Prime bullocks made from £6 12s 6d to £7 15s ; others from £5 5s to £6 ; the averages were £6 5s 6d, £5 18s 6d, to £5 8s for the different lines ; veal calves, from 14s to 20s. Sheep.— Wethers, 14s to 14s lOd ; lighter weights, 13s 3d to 13s IOd; forward ewes, 12s 3d to 12s 7 d ; stores 9s 6d to 10s 4d ; old ewes, 7s 3d. Pigs. — Baconers, £2 15s to £3 3s; others, £2 2s to £3 8s ; porkers, 15s to 265; stores, 7s 9d to 14s.
