A slight trace of arsenic has been found in the body of the man Andrews, exhumed for medical examination, after the suspicious death of Collins, his wife's second husband, a fortnight ago. The quantitj of arsenic discorerd is thought to be insufficient to form a base for n charge of murder against the woman iSo trace of arsenic was found in the child's body, which was also exhumed for i examination. i It iias been discovered that the Minister of Justice was in error in stating i there were discrepancies in the evidence of the Mount Bennie outrage in connection with Hill and Donnellan. i here is no discrepancy in tho evidence so far as they are concerned, but there is every reason to believe that NewmaD, Miller and Keeg-m were in no way connected with the actual crime for which the} were punished. Judge Windejer, who tried the men, is now finally considering the whole case. Brisbane, July 23. By a firo at Maekadilla a dwelling has been destroyed and a man named Howard (occupant), with his wife and child, perished in the flimes. Melbourne, July, 23. John Hurlow attempted the the mnn der of his wife by shooting at| her, and afterwards committed suiciae. The women is not seriously injured. 'It is believed the man was insane at the time.
