Railway Accident

j PER TJNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] Timaep, July 16. The north express was delayed an hour and a half to-day by the derailmenr of a carriage half a mile north of Hook. The engine ran into a cow just before going on to the trestle bridge and carried her on to the bridge, and dropped her on to the first space between the sleepers. The engine passed over the carcase, but the first carriage, a long composite, struck against it and was derailed, and went bumping over the sleepers all the way over the bridge. The cow was cut to atoms and strewn all nlong the line. The carriage was damaged by the bumping, bat was temporarily patched with fencing wire and cut off at the first wayside station.
