(per unitkd press \ssociajpion.) Weiungton, July 3. True bills were found against Geo. Ewart on two charges ; Francis Alexander McMinn, Eichard O'Donnel r and Nellie Hurley, for larceny; Henry Fuller, receiving stolen property; James Madden, absconding bankrupt; John Pomeroy alias Collins, for forgery on two charges. No bill against John Keefe for larceny. Eichard McCarry was sentenced to two years for larceny. This Day. At the Supreme Court, Henry Fuller, for receiving stolen property, was sentenced to three yaars ; Thomas Ewart, pleaded guilty of horse-steal-ing, received 12 months ; the boy, Alexander McMinn, who pleaded guilty of stealing a diamond ring, will bo brought up to-morrow for sentence; George Ewart, for the larceny of a gun, was acquitted. The session is expected to conclude to-morrow. Dpnhdik, July 2. At the criminal sessions, Andrew Frederickson got three years for forgery ; John Taylor and Andrew Beid for horse-stealing were convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon ; Elizabeth Dean was acquitted on a charge of forging and uttering a post office savings bank deposit receipt. Robert McPherson pleaded guilty to stealing a watch, And was sentenced to 4 months' hard labor. In the case of Tta,vjd» 0. Lombardo, charged with unlawfully wounding, the jury returned a verdict that the wound was inflicted in selfdefence, and he was acquitted. Chbistchfbch July 2; The Supreme Court criminal sittings opened to-dy before Mr Justice Ward. Esther Matilda Everett pleaded guilty to forging a cheque for £11 on the Colonial Bank. The Probation Officer's report was very favorable, and she was placed on probation for 12 months, William Fleming, for arson, was sentenced to 12 months' hard labor ; George Alexander and William for burglary, two years' hard labor; John Nimon, for burglary, three years penal servitude ; Charles James Escott charged with embezzlement from the Lyttelton Times Company, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to two yeare probation, and to refund the amount embezzled, £110, and to pay the expenses of the prosecution, £31. The trial of Henley for shooting at Peter Sinclair, at Holleston, is fixed or Wednesday.
