Daring Burglary in Wellington

[ p__R UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. | Wellington, June 18. The Petone railway station was broken into on Saturday night, and a B afe containing about £80 was removed. The burglars also broke into a blacksmith's shop, and obtained a sledge hammer, etc., which were usad in breaking open the safe. The safe, which weighed 3cwt., appears to have been placed on a hand truck procured by the hurglars at the railway yard, and taken to a vacant section along the beach, where it was opened and the contents appropriated. The empty safe and sledge hammer, etc., was found in some gorse bushes, which gave the first intimation of the burglary. ■
