The Legislative Council has passed the Chinese Restriction Bill. They have also carried a motion protesting against the Imperial veto oi the Divorce Bill.
In the Legislative Assembly a new Divorce Bill has been read a third time.
The Chinese Conference is indisposed to increase the poll tax on Chinese, holding that an increased tonnage should be a sufficient restriction.
