1 PER UNITED PRESB ASSOCIATION, j Masterton, This Duy. Three serious accidents were admitted into the Masterton Hospital yesterday. Arthur Goulsen, a jockey, whilst leading a dn:u,ht horse, got his leg broken by a kick. Abraham Feilding, whilst pig shooting at Brancepeth on Monday evening, fell over the rocks. The gun went off, and the bullet passed through both his thighs smashing the right bone. Feilding was found some hours after by his mates lying in a pool of blood. Dr Hosking arrived from Masterton, distant 30 miles, dressed the wounds, and the injured man was conveyed on his mates shoulders for three miles, thence by a brake. Anderson, a benchman at Mangamahoe sawmill 8, was- struck by a large splinter from the machine which entered the side of his eye and passed underneath the brain. He was chloroformed at the Hospital, and it took the united efforts of Drs Hosking and Milne to extract the wood. The sufferers are progressing favorably.
