An informal meeting of ratepayers m No. 5 ward was held last night at Mangaone. The feeling generally was to the effect they would not vote for the loan proposals as they stand at present, but would do so as far as making the roads is concerned. They strongly object to their ward being saddled with half the cost of the bridge at Aorangi, and consider the proportional cost of the bridge should be borne by the whole Eoad District, in common with other Road Districts interested.
