■♦ f Notes by " Off Side.") A match between teams representing Feiiding and Awahuri, was played on the Oval on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the former by 5 points to 1. The teams were as follows : — I Feiiding— A. Parr, W. and M. Belfit, jßellve, Smith, Watts, Dixon, Collins, Hodges, Coleroan, Iveson, Keen, Gk Say well, Hirst, and Robinson. Awahuri—Martin, Kiwi, Lawton, Kierona, Taki, Binny, Turri, Johnny, Neary, Bennett, Wickham, Henry, Pope, Parr, Foster, Bobinson, and Eoberts, In the first spell Smith and Parr obtained tries for Feiiding. Parr also distinguished himself by potting a beautiful goal from the field. Benny, also scored a try for Awahuii. The second .epell was fairly eytn, no score being made on either side. For Feiiding, Parr and Smith played an exceptionAlly good game. Iveson and W. Belfit were the best of the forwards. For Awahuri, Martin, Kiwi, Lawton, Benny, and Bennett. At the commencement of the game the players »n the Feiiding side pleased me very much by their passing, but they seemed to forget all about it towards the end of the game. Ainjngst those who played in the Above match on Saturday, I noticed the making of two good forward players in Roberts and Hirst, who dfciayed for the first time. ." A match will be played on the Oval next Saturday between the local team (names of whom will appear in :next issue), and an Awahuri and Taonui combined team, and there is no doubt it will be a very exciting game as the latter wiU be a very strong one, * and I should not be surprised to see them win, so it is to be hoped the local men will roll up in full force to avoid a defeat, . The return match between the Taonui and Feiiding second fifteens, will be played at Taonui on Saturday next. The Secretary of the Feiiding Football Olub informs me that he is going to post a list up on the ground every Saturday with the names of those who have paid their subscription fee, which is only ss. So those that intend to pay will no doubt pay up at once.
