Masonic Ceremony

j . The installation of Sir H. Atkinson as District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of "Wellington, North Island of New Zealand, E.G., took place yesterday at Wellington in the old Provincial Council Chambers in the presence of about 350 brethren. The following District and Provincial Grand Lodges were represented viz.: — Canterbury E.C. by Bro. H. Thomson, D.G.M. ; Canterbury S.C. by Bro. Rev. J. Hill, D,G\M. ; Auckland E.O. by Bro. G. S. Graham, D.G.M. ; Auckland S.C. by Bro. Sir F. Whitaker, P.G.M. ; Auckland I.C. by Bro, R. C. Hamerton, P.G.L ; Otago and Southland E.C. by Bro. Sirß. Stout, P.D.D.G.M., and Bro. I Fish, D.D.GM. ; Otago and Southland S.C. by Bro. Feldwick, P.D.G.M. All the lodges under the District Grand Lodge of Wellington, E.C, were well represented, and numerous brethren were also present from other English, Soctch, and Irish lodges in the North and South Island. After the ceremony a banquet took place in the Masonic Hall, Boulcott street, which was largely attended, and the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honored.
