The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company, Limited reDort under date Sydney, May l2th: — Flour (free).— Nothing beyond a steady trade in flour can be reported, and we quote.: — Roller brands from £8 158 to £9 10s Stone brands from £8 to £9. Hides (free).— A still, easier tenhas been -noticeable . in market *~. during the past week, and we now quote :— Prime extra heavy, 3£d to 3fd; heavy, 3|d to 3£d : medium 3d to 3fd; light, 3d to 4d ; dry, 3d to 4d ; damaged do., Id to 2£d. Tallow (free).— Considerable firmness has characterised this market, and good bright shipping lines have commanded more attention and slightly higher rates than those ruling last week! We quote :— Prime beef, £18 10sto£l9; medium, £17 5s to £18 ss; inferior, £15 10s to £16 15s per ton. New Zealand Meats (free).— The market continues more than well supplied, and stocks are extremely difficult to work off even at greatly reduced figures. Wool (free).- We held our usual sale on Monday last when we offered a small catalogue to an average attendance of the trade. The more buoyant tone of the Home market was not without its effect on prices locally, and although the offerings at present! are! not of a very attractive character. Competition was keen throughout, and every line was disposed of at a range of values which shows a slight advance on rates current during last month. - < _ Sheepskins (free).— The market remains very firm, with an active demand,, and all lines coming forward meet with a ready sale at the f ollow- ' ing quotations, viz. :: — Best full-wool 4£d to s£d; medium, 3fd to -id; short and pelts, 2d to 3_d.
