■- • _ . v » By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright. ..PER UNITED PREBB ASSOCIATION.;* Y^£j Albany, May 28. Particulars to hand by the mail steamer of the collision between the Garonne and Lucinda show that the Garonne sighted the Lucinda ten minutes before the colision took place, her green light showing to green. The Garonne repeatedly signalled the Lucinda to port her helm, but no notice was taken of the warning, and apparently no watch was kept on hoard the Lucinda. The Garonne struck the Lucinda amidships. Twenty of theLucinda's crew clambered aboard the Garonne. One man was killed by the collision. Another man, a cripple,, refused to leave the Lucinda because he was unable to swim; and went down with the vessel, which sank in ten minutes. ■_-___-_____w___p__' •
