The following are " Maxims" selections for the different events which come off at the Wanganui steeple* chase meeting to-morrow.
Maiden Steeplechase. — Promotion, 1 ; Cairngorm, 2. Handicap Steeplechase. — "Waitangi, lOst 21b, is the best treated of the lot but I hear he has been troubled with a bad leg for some time so I must discard him. I shall expect to see Faugh-a-Ballagh win with all his might, with Allegro and Orangeman to fill the places. " Winter Oats. — Marl borough, 1 ; Escapade, 2 ; Bimu, 3. Flying. — Escapade, 1 ; Marlborou#h, 2. .
