Eight ' claims of thirty acres have been peg--1 ged off by ten different parties, and [ there was a race to get applications ' in. The claims extend for one mile i from the left hand branch of the Owen River, through a limestone country, > towards the mountain and Wangapeke. The lode is said to be three feet thick, and the ore is reported to be rich.
