There was a large crowd of the public, however. The visitors were driven in a drag to the Empire Hotel, and went to bed. As they .were not able to get berths they spent the night on deck. A man named George Hatley was found dead yesterday at the camp of the Government survey party at Wagaehn. Chbhtchubck, May 11. A lad, a son of Dr Duflot, the Canadian doctor, was drowned in Halswell to-day. He was duck-shooting near Green Park with a party, which he left, and went along the river in a punt. As he did not return a search was made and his body was found in the river.
