Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. received yesterday the following cable message from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co.'i — " London sth May. Compared with the closing rates of last London sales, good merino has advanced £d; pcoured merino, good to extra good, advanced 2j- to 5 per cent. For coarse cross-breds the market shows no change ; inferior greasy and sooured merino has declined fine crossbreds also declined at. $d. The sales have closed firm. The third series df sales, fixed tocommenceon 19th June, will be limited to new arrivals, 350,000 m bales ; fourth series fixed to oommenco on 18th.
