TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sib,— Aft one who firmly believes in the great advantages of Sabbath observance to any community, I beg to enter my protest against tie illegal -and discreditable habit indulged in by several of our self -esteemed and respectable townsmen, of going si-snoot-ing on that day, and so shamelessly close proximity teethe town, as to l>e> a! constant source of annoyance to its law-abiding citizens. young men occupying fading positions in pubKe t or private institutions, should so far forget themselves* and their antecedents, is incredible. Mow can we wonder at the larrikin element treating with indifference every thing sacred and lawful when men, from | whom we have a right to expect something a long Way better, show such a vicious example ?
