The New Zealand Stud Company's thoroughbred, Sword Dance, died on Thursday from inflammation of the lungs.
Tke i.s. Staffa, on a voyage from Hokianga, pub into Eaipara harbour in distress and reported one man lost overt board. No particulars. The glove fight between H. Laiag, of Wanganui, and A. Matthewa was commenced to»day at Otahnhu Racecourse, but was stoppsd by the police after a faw rounds had been fought, in which Laing had all the belt.
