The Petone Hotel was destroyed by fire last night, nothing being saved. The proprietor's family, and the boarders narrowly escaped with their lives. One boarder had to throw himself out of the upper window, and was caught in a blanket. Insurances aro all in the Union— Hotel, £2000 ; furniture and stock, £1000.
