Body of a Child Found in Wellington Harbor
Today's New Zealand Times says:— - The body of an infant male child about seven days old was found floating fa the harbor, near the beach in Oriental Bay,' yesterday afternoon, about 4 o'clock, by two little irirls. The matter was reported to Constable Gleeson, who bad the re« mains removed to the Morgue. The body which was wrapped npin a piece of white calico, had not been in the water a very long time. A serious crime has been committed, for on examination it was found that there were several marks of bruises on tho child's neck. A. post mortem examination of the body will be made by Dr Collins to day. An inquest on the body is to be held at the Morsuo to-morrow morning.
