The German Emperor

The Emperor Frederick lit. was interviewed on his journey to this city from San Remu by King Milan of Servia and the Duke of Aosta. Bptii interviews were of the most cordial description. Immediately on his arrival here he visited his father's body. The corpse was conveyed on Sunday to the Cathedral, under an escort of Cavalry, and was followed by Prince William and the other princes of the family. The imposing pageant was witnessed by great crowds. The body lies in State until Tuesday. The Emperor's deathbed scene was very touching and beautiful. His Majesty's only daughter, the Grand Duchess of Baden, lovingly attended him. In reply to her whispered inquiry, the Kaiser said, " I'm very tired, but there is no time to say much, there is much to dp." .

The Emperor Frederick was unable to speak with King Humbert of Italy owing to his throat malady, but they conversed by means of written slips. A similar course was adopted with the Duke of Aosta and and other interviewers. His Majesty's health has improved.

A bulletin issued to-day states that the Emperor Frederick's health is in a favorable condition, and is also announced that . the issue of regular bulletins has been stopped. Trince Bismarck has been ordered complete rest and abstention from business.

March 14. As previously telegraphed, the corpse of the late Emperor was o»n- --[ veyed from the Boyal Palace .to the Cathedral :on Sunday night. The procession, headed by the Prussian Corps of Guards, left the Palace at midnight, in the midst of a blinding snowstorm, and was composed of the Royal Princes, Generals of the Army, Ministers and other notabilities. Torchlights were carried by soldiers, and the scene was a most weird and imposing spectacle. The body of the late Emperor is now lying in state in the Cathedral, and is being visited by enormous crowds of people. The funeral takes on Friday. There will be a most solemn service in the Cathedral, and a state procession will follow the remains of the late Emperor to the Mausoleum at Charlottenberg. The Emperor Frederick 111 takes the oath of Allegiance on Saturday.
